We have five beautiful self-catering units on our farm in the Karkloof, inspired by the best international self-catering standards. All units feature stylish decor, free WiFi, braai facilities, pizza ovens, wood fireplaces, and private parking. Fall asleep to the sound of a black-backed jackal calling in the distance and wake up to the sound of cows mooing peacefully — a true Midlands escape!
TENTED RIVER CAMP
Tented luxury comes to the Karkloof in our brand new river frontage unit — inspired by the classic safari tent, but with every comfort and elegant finish you could dream of. This is glamping at its absolute finest!
The comfortable two-bedroom unit offers a spacious living area and a self-catering kitchen with luxury finishings, Smeg appliances, and everything you could possibly need (and more!) for a comfortable getaway.
Each bedroom features a king-size bed and a bunk bed, making the unit perfect for a unique country getaway for two families. There are two bathrooms, one of which features a relaxing bath tub with sweeping mountain views. There’s also a sauna to sweat out all those everyday stresses.
Highlights include the unique tented feel, direct river frontage, pizza oven, hot tub, fire pit with outdoor seating area, luxurious day beds on the patio, the bathtub with a view, and a soothing sauna.
Loft villa
This modern 2 bedroom unit is equipped with an open kitchen/lounge area that is fitted with all the modern amenities.
There are two lovely indoor lounge areas - a ground floor lounge and a mezzanine floor lounge. Perfect for reading or just admiring the view.
Our favourite features of the loft unit is the sunken wine cellar, pizza oven, wood fired hot tub & mezzanine floor lounge with panoramic views
The kitchen consists of a gas hob, microwave, fridge and other premium self-catering amenities. There is an open plan outdoor patio area that has a pizza oven, outdoor seating area and outdoor lounge area.
There are 2 upstairs rooms which consist of large king size beds. Bathrooms are on the ground floor and consist of a bath/basin/toilet bathroom and a separate single toilet.
Vlei villa
Vlei villa is a modern yet cosy 2 bedroom unit and is fitted with all the latest modern amenities. The view from the villa is superb, and overlooks our vlei teaming with bird life. Outdoor area has pizza oven, and large outdoor verandah.
Rooms consist of a king size bed and 2 single beds in the other room.
Highlights include pizza oven, wood burning fire place, the patio with lounging day beds.
Mountain view villa
This unit is equipped with an open kitchen/lounge area and an en suite large bedroom that can sleep 2 people in a luxurious super king bed.
The kitchen consists of a gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge and other self-catering amenities. There is also a fire pit outside to enjoy.
The bathroom is fitted with a modern shower, and there is an outside bath that is perfect to relax in underneath the stars!
This unit is very private and is Wifi enabled and fully self-catering equipped.
Dam view villa
This unit is equipped with an open kitchen/lounge area and an adjacent large bedroom that can sleep 3 people (king size bed and single bed)
The kitchen consists of a gas hob, microwave, fridge and other self-catering amenities. There is also a pizza oven and bar area that you are welcome to use.
Highlights include: pizza oven, wood burning fire stove, outside bath, modern kitchen amenities.
The unit is adjacent to the main house where myself, my husband and 2 children live.
