Our Story
Seven years ago, Wayne and Jen moved into a run-down Karkloof farmhouse — with goats living on the verandah and all! But, for the Woodleys, giving their kids a wholesome country lifestyle was always a priority. They may not have had running water, but they did have plenty of dreams. A builder by trade, Wayne built the couple’s home himself, later converting the double garage into what became the first Belvidere Country Estate cottage.
With some trial and error, the Woodleys built more units on the property over time, doing everything themselves — Wayne trying new building concepts and Jen roping in her sister-in-law, Wendy, to collectively use their creativity to meticulously furnish each unit in its own style. The family bring their vision and labour to you with love at Belvidere Country Estate.
